The land of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. This country is the country from which Naruto came. It is one of the most powerful nations in the world, and its shinobi are elite.

This is the land of the water ninja. The shinobi village here is called the Village Hidden in the Mist. Many powerful ninja are from here, Zabuza and Haku being prime examples.

The Land of Rain is the home to the shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Rain. The shinobi here are stealthy and get around unseen. Even if one does see them, much like drops of rain, there are too many to stop them all.The Akatsuki Hideout is also residing here.

The Land of Grass is a land full of fauna. Even though the plants outnumber the shinobi, the shinobi are by far the more intimidating of the two. Their fighting style, taught at the Village Hidden in the Grass, is a fluid movement, where transitions between deadly attacks are nearly imperceptible.

The Land of the Waterfall's shinobi village is hidden by, if you couldn't guess, a large waterfall. The Village Hidden in the Waterfall has no kage, but does possess the legendary Hero Water. The shinobi of this village are as fluid as a stream but as powerful as a surging flood.
